Every panorama you upload is tiled into several zoom levels so the viewer can stream only what is on screen. Until now the viewer stopped one level short of the sharpest tiles the pipeline produced. That cap is gone.

On desktop browsers with capable graphics hardware the viewer now loads the top tile level, which means up to 13,312 pixels of horizontal resolution per scene, four times the pixel count of the previous ceiling. Text on signage, fabric texture and distant detail stay crisp as visitors zoom in.

Nothing changes on phones and tablets, where the smaller levels are still the right trade-off between sharpness and bandwidth, and nothing changes for you as a creator: tours that already have the high-resolution tiles pick them up automatically. Open one of your tours on a large screen and zoom into a corner you know well; the difference is immediate.
